• Microbphone

Microbphone is a conceptual musical instrument consisting of microbes, impromptu assembled circuit boards, and live music instruments. Including bagpipes, which represent an external digestive system powered by a post-pickle human breath.

Microbes in fermented foods such as pickles, sourdough bread, cider, yogurt, cabbage, miso or kefir mix with the sound of human hands, mouths, and guts performing the mundane acts of eating, gulping, touching, as well as digesting; thereby creating a noise loop as messy as the fermentation process itself.
